Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up living in "a white bubble." She also shares the impact that this realization has had on her parenting of adopted children who are multi-racial. She revealed in an interview in the past that when it comes to skin colour, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted in South Korea she realized just how differently society treats them. If I asked Meg what she thought of her treatment at public events, whether with or without our parents, she said it was completely different. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" That made me realize that I had been so naive," Heigl said to her parents. She confessed that she was frustrated however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to support her daughters. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. together for thirteen years. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009. Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who adopted in the year 2012.
