Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in France's Puy-de-Domme on the 9th of August, 1976. She was the youngest child of four. Since a young age, both her dental surgeon parents and her teacher mom supported her love of theater and drama. The passion for theater was the one which trumped her original desire to become a an animal scientist. The early success of her career and the rapid growth in popularity made her a promising young actor. When she graduated in 1998, her education, she was selected to take part in Jeunes Premiers an French TV talent-scouting programme that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to pursue a professional career as an actor. Tautou is a pupil of in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and enrolled in the school at an early age she has since renounced her Catholic education. Now, she says she is not a Catholic. Modeling and acting have been interspersed. Tautou was the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and she is often known as The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting career, she has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival, under the title Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on the spotlight and celebrities and then turns her camera to those who scrutinized her when she exploded in fame and fortune as Amelie in addition to several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her debut role as Amelie Poulain in the film Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie is an international box office success and praised at many award events around the globe. It is the top-grossing French film in America. In the following year, she starred in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet Un long Sunday de Faancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
