Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born on the 12th of November, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 on an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who would become Comaneci's coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. At first, she competed in the championships for juniors from Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. In 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. In 1972, in an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes before the Olympics she took home three medals of gold. In 1973 and '74 she was the overall junior champion. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. In 1976, she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars with backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she started appearing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment in her teens. She began her career as figure skater performing with her twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating performances.
